Where there is inventing, innovating, problem solving, composing, designing, mixing and stirring ingredients, weaving and manufacturing, etc., the creative process is ART! Creations galore, original works, imported works from around the world, watch, listen, and read about ART.

Friendly Folks- A Tour By Artist Jane FilerArtist Jane Filer takes you on a tour of her mural at Raleigh-Durham International Airport. "Friendly Folks" is a 45-foot mural located in the international arrivals bag claim. It was a gift to the Airport Authority by the Triangle Area Sister Cities Commission.
Durham exemplifies a diverse community and rich cultural history. Home
of the prestigious Duke University, it is touted as the "City of
Medicine." Other major institutions include North Carolina Central
University, corporations like IBM and Glaxo Smith Kline, Quintiles new
world headquarters, venues such as Durham Bulls Baseball team and the
stadium built by the designers of Baltimore's Oriole Park at Camden
Yards, and the newly completed Durham Performing Arts Center, to name a
few. The downtown landscape, business establishments, and buildings
reflect some of its rich cultural history and impressive architectural
designs. Many buildings in downtown and surrounding areas in Durham are
reminiscent of the days of varied artistic styles, creativity, and
ornate designs. Whether the look is contemporary or traditional, take a
virtual stroll and appreciate the art and science of intricate and
notable architectural designs.
